1. Introduction to Mechanical Components

a. 30×60 mm Alumunium Profile
The length of the profile depends on the required working area in your machine design.
- 2 pcs of 600mm for X axes
- 3 pcs of 400mm for Y axes
b. SFU2005 Ballscrew and Nut for X, Y and Z Axis
The length of the ballscrew depends on the required working area in your machine design.
My selection is SFU2005
c. Ballscrew Nut Housing (These are standard for SFU type ballscrews)
d. 6 pcs SBR20 Linear Rail and 12 pcs SBR20UU Block
e. If you use 2005 ballscrew (SFU2005 you should get BK15 and BF15)
- 3 pcs BF15
- 3 pcs BK15
f. 3060 Corner Brackets for 3060 Profile
- 8 pcs corner brackets
g. T nuts for 8mm Slot (Check your profile slot diemensions)
We will need some M5, M6 and M8 T nuts 8mm Slot.
Addition to T nuts obtain some M5, M6 and M8 bolts at different length. We will need some 12mm M5, M6 and M8 bolts

Some parts requires CNC machining. We use Aluminium 7075 (it is rigid)

We can also cut them out from steel with a laser cutting machine which will be much more economical.
2. Electrical Components
a. Servo/Step Motors and Controllers
If you are new, I strongly recommend using Stepper Motors which are easier to control
Nema23 would be the perfect fit for a CNC Router

b. Spindle Motor and Drive
